Park and Recreation Commission

The Park and Recreation Commission consist of five residents elected by the town voters. The commission is a policy-making board responsible to the town for providing year-round high quality indoor and outdoor recreation activities for children and adults.

Thundercat Sports-Summer Learning sports skills and having FUN do not have to be mutually exclusive!  Our teaching techniques maximize learning and fun while keeping kids very active.  We aim to teach fundamental skills through active learning and participation, stress teamwork and sportsmanship, and strive to create an atmosphere that will enrich each child's sports experience.  We achieve this by providing an exciting curriculum and enthusiastic, well trained instructors.  

All participants receive a sport ball and t-shirt.  Participants should bring a water bottle, snack, lunch (Full Day only), and have sunscreen applied before arriving.

US Sports Institute This is the true sports camp experience with so much to do! In the half day program, children will receive technical instruction in over 10 sports during the week and experience the sport in a realistic game situation. The full day program will allow children to experience some of the selected sports in more depth. Typical sports included in this program are badminton, baseball, basketball, cricket, discovery games, field hockey, flag football, floor hockey, handball, lacrosse, netball, Olympic games, parachute, pillo polo, soccer, softball, tennis, volleyball, and World Cup.
