Park & Recreation Department

The Park and Recreation Department offers a comprehensive and varied program of public recreation activities, services, and resources for residents. Programs are self-sustaining and offer an opportunity for quality use of leisure time in a productive and healthy manner. Recreation facilities include the Atkinson Pool, Fairbank Community Center, toddler playground, tennis courts, basketball courts, sand volleyball court, outdoor skating area (weather permitting), and fields for baseball, field hockey, lacrosse, softball, and soccer. Major recreation areas include Davis Field, Frank G. Feeley Field, and Haskell Recreation Area.

Adaptive Indoor Rock Climbing

 The Waypoint indoor rock climbing program will provide participants with physical and development disabilities the opportunity to learn how to rock climb in a safe and comfortable environment.All equipment is provided as well as 2 1/2 hours of gym time. Trained staff will be there to support and instruct you as you overcome challenges on the wall.  Interested? Sign up for one week or all five, it’s up to you!

DAY:                     Mondays

TIME:                   6:00 - 8:30 PM

DATES:               Sept. 20 - Oct 25   *no class 10/18

WHERE:              Rock Spot Climbing Gym, Boston, MA

COST:  $60 per session

AGE: Anyone 8+
