Park & Recreation Department

The Park and Recreation Department offers a comprehensive and varied program of public recreation activities, services, and resources for residents. Programs are self-sustaining and offer an opportunity for quality use of leisure time in a productive and healthy manner. Recreation facilities include the Atkinson Pool, Fairbank Community Center, toddler playground, tennis courts, basketball courts, sand volleyball court, outdoor skating area (weather permitting), and fields for baseball, field hockey, lacrosse, softball, and soccer. Major recreation areas include Davis Field, Frank G. Feeley Field, and Haskell Recreation Area.

Adaptive Tennis

 Sylvia Swartz, USPTA, PTR, longtime tennis professional at The Longfellow Club, and Executive Director & Head Coach of the award winning Handi-Racket Tennis program, will be coaching an introductory adaptive tennis program for youth with disabilities.  Rackets, balls, and courts will be provided. Athletes MUST wear white soled sneakers, preferably shorts, and no jeans.
