Mill Village c.1855
One of the busiest and most populous areas in Sudbury was Mill Village, the group of homes and shops that sprang up around the 17th century mill on Hop Brook. In this etching, taken from an original painting by Alfred Hudson, the road in the foreground is today’s Boston Post Road. The road stretching toward the upper left in Concord Road. Etching by J. S. Conant, from Alfred S. Hudson, History of Sudbury, 1889.
